The Lower New Inn is a village pub and restaurant serving food and drink and hosting events and other hospitality activities.
By accessing our website, making a booking, purchasing a gift voucher, purchasing an event ticket or using our services, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
If you do not agree with these Terms & Conditions, please do not use our website or services.
We reserve the right to update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. The latest version will be published on our website.

You agree to use our website lawfully and responsibly.
You must not use our website:

3. Restaurant Bookings
Restaurant bookings are subject to availability.
When making a booking, you agree to provide accurate contact information and the correct number of guests.
We ask customers to arrive at their agreed booking time. If you are going to be significantly late, please contact us as soon as possible.
We reserve the right to release a table where a booking is significantly overdue and we have been unable to contact the customer.
Where applicable, cancellation, deposit or no-show policies will be communicated at the time of booking.
For certain bookings, including larger groups, special occasions or events, we may require a deposit or other booking confirmation.
Any applicable deposit or cancellation conditions will be communicated before the booking is confirmed.
4. Groups and Large Bookings
Additional terms may apply to large group bookings, private functions and special occasions.

The person making a group booking is responsible for ensuring that members of their party are aware of any applicable arrangements.
5. Food Allergies and Dietary Requirements
We take food allergies and dietary requirements seriously.
Customers must inform a member of our team of any allergies or dietary requirements when making a booking and, where appropriate, when ordering.
Our kitchen handles a wide range of ingredients and allergens. Although we take reasonable precautions to minimise the risk of cross-contamination, we cannot guarantee that any dish is completely free from a particular allergen.
If you have a serious allergy, please speak to a member of our team before ordering so that we can discuss your requirements.
6. Food and Drink
Menus and prices displayed on our website are subject to change.
Some menu items may be subject to availability.
We reserve the right to substitute ingredients where reasonably necessary, including where ingredients are unavailable or seasonal.
We reserve the right to refuse service where reasonably necessary, including where doing so is required for the safety or welfare of our customers, staff or other guests.
7. Responsible Service of Alcohol
The Lower New Inn is committed to the responsible sale and service of alcohol.
We comply with the Licensing Act 2003 and all applicable UK licensing laws.
We operate a Challenge 25 policy.
If you appear to be under 25, you may be asked to provide valid photographic identification before purchasing or consuming alcohol.
Acceptable identification may include:

UK or EU photocard driving licence; or

PASS-approved proof of age card.
We will not knowingly sell alcohol to anyone under the age of 18.
We may refuse the sale of alcohol where we reasonably believe that:

The customer is under 18 and cannot provide acceptable identification;

Alcohol is being purchased on behalf of someone under 18;

The customer is already intoxicated;

The sale would breach our premises licence; or
-
The sale would otherwise be unlawful.
We reserve the right to refuse service in accordance with our legal and licensing obligations.

8. Events and Entertainment
Where the Lower New Inn hosts events, additional event-specific terms may apply.
Tickets
Where tickets are required:

Every attendee must hold a valid ticket unless otherwise stated;

Tickets are valid only for the event, date and session stated;

Tickets must not be fraudulently reproduced or obtained;

We reserve the right to refuse entry where a ticket is invalid, fraudulent or has been obtained unlawfully.
Unless specifically stated otherwise, purchasing a ticket does not guarantee a particular table, seat or position within the venue.
Admission
Admission is subject to our venue rules and, where applicable, the capacity and conditions of our premises licence.
We reserve the right to refuse admission or ask a guest to leave where their behaviour is:

Abusive or threatening;

Violent;
-
Discriminatory;
-
Excessively intoxicated;
-
Disruptive;
-
Likely to affect the safety or enjoyment of other guests; or
-
In breach of our venue rules or licensing requirements.
No refund will ordinarily be provided where a guest is removed because of their behaviour.
Guests must follow reasonable instructions given by Lower New Inn staff, management or security personnel.
9. Changes or Cancellation of Events
We reserve the right to make reasonable changes to an event where necessary, including changes to:

Event times;

Entertainment;
-
Performers;
-
Activities;
-
Menus;
-
Venue arrangements; or
-
Other operational elements.
Where an event is cancelled by us, customers will be informed as soon as reasonably practicable.
Where appropriate, customers may be offered a refund, alternative date or alternative arrangement depending on the circumstances.
Events may be cancelled, postponed or amended because of circumstances including:

Severe weather;
-
Safety concerns;
-
Operational requirements;
-
Government restrictions;
-
Performer or supplier availability; or
-
Circumstances outside our reasonable control.
10. Event Ticket Cancellation and Refunds
Unless otherwise stated at the time of purchase, event tickets are non-refundable where a customer changes their mind or is unable to attend.
Tickets cannot normally be exchanged for another event or date unless we expressly agree to this.
Where an event is cancelled by us, affected ticket holders will be informed of the available refund or alternative arrangements.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions affects your statutory consumer rights.
11. Gift Vouchers
Lower New Inn gift vouchers are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase.
Gift vouchers may be used towards eligible purchases at the Lower New Inn, subject to any specific terms communicated at the time of purchase.
Gift vouchers:
-
Cannot be exchanged for cash;
-
Cannot be used to purchase another gift voucher;
-
Cannot be replaced if lost or stolen unless required by law;
-
Must not be copied or fraudulently reproduced; and
-
May be used in full or part payment.
Where the value of a purchase exceeds the value of the gift voucher, the remaining balance must be paid using another accepted payment method.
Where the value of a purchase is less than the value of the gift voucher, the remaining balance will remain available for future use until the voucher's expiry date, subject to these Terms & Conditions.
Gift vouchers cannot be redeemed after their expiry date.
We reserve the right to refuse a gift voucher where we reasonably suspect fraud, misuse or unlawful activity.
12. Promotions and Competitions
From time to time, the Lower New Inn may run promotions, competitions and special offers.
Unless otherwise stated, promotions:

Cannot be exchanged for cash;

Cannot be combined with other offers;
-
Are subject to availability;
-
May have specific eligibility requirements; and
-
May be withdrawn where reasonably necessary.
Individual promotions or competitions may have additional terms which will be made available at the time of the promotion.
Where a competition requires an entrant to provide personal information, that information will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Notice.
13. Photography and Filming
Photography, filming and audio recording may take place at the Lower New Inn during events and other activities.
General photographs or recordings may include customers in the background or wider crowd.
We may use suitable photographs or recordings for reasonable promotional, marketing and editorial purposes, including on our website and social media channels.
If you do not wish to appear prominently in promotional photography or filming, please speak to a member of staff where reasonably practicable.
14. Personal Belongings
Customers are responsible for looking after their own personal belongings while visiting the Lower New Inn.
We are not responsible for loss, theft or damage to personal belongings except where liability cannot lawfully be excluded or where the loss or damage has been caused by our negligence.
Any lost property should be reported to a member of staff.
15. Children
Children are welcome at the Lower New Inn where permitted by our premises licence and venue arrangements.
Children must remain under the supervision and responsibility of their parent, guardian or accompanying adult at all times.
Specific events may have age restrictions. Where restrictions apply, these will be communicated when the event is advertised or booked.
16. Dogs and Assistance Animals
Dogs may be permitted in designated areas of the Lower New Inn, subject to our venue arrangements and applicable hygiene requirements.
Specific areas, events or circumstances may have restrictions on dogs.
Registered assistance dogs will be accommodated in accordance with applicable law.
Please check with our team if you are unsure whether dogs are permitted for a particular booking or event.
