The Last Night at the Inn

A Six-Course Murder Mystery Supper

31 October 1726.

As darkness falls over the Lower New Inn, travellers gather around the fire, supper is served and the doors close for the night.

Among them is wealthy merchant and moneylender Silas Blackwood.

Before morning, Blackwood will be dead.

Five people have reason to want him gone. Three will lie about what happened. One will conceal a secret. And one of them is a murderer.

Exactly 300 years later, we need you to discover the truth.

Join us this Halloween for a very special evening at the Lower New Inn, combining a six-course set menu with a table-based murder mystery created especially for the Inn.

Throughout dinner, your table will receive a series of sealed evidence files. You'll examine the guest register, uncover private correspondence, discover a missing poison and hear testimony from those who were supposedly beneath this roof on the night Blackwood died.

But not everything is quite as it seems.

Work together with your table to decide who killed Silas Blackwood, how they did it and why before making your final accusation.

Then, as the final course is served, the truth behind the Inn's 300-year-old secret will finally be revealed.

No acting. No role play. No costumes required. (Although happy if you want to!)

You won't be given a character or asked to perform. Simply come along, enjoy dinner and drinks, open the evidence as the story unfolds and solve the mystery together with the people around your table.

Expect candlelight, good food, plenty of wine, suspicious characters and a few surprises along the way.

Places are limited and advance booking is essential.
